Wherever we cook, that’s Billy Ray’s Backyard.

I started cooking with my cousin Marty in 2009 as part of the Sheriff’s Posse BBQ Team. In 2011, we went out on our own and called ourselves Silla’s BBQ Team in honor of Marty’s mom, who we called Sill. We competed around Central Texas and started bringing home trophies.

My passion for BBQ competitions was ignited. In 2013, I started Billy Ray’s Backyard, averaging 8 - 10 cook-offs a year. Then, the catering requests from family and friends started rolling in, and I launched Billy Ray’s Backyard Catering and Billy Ray’s Backyard Smoked Meats.

And we’re happy to be able to bring award-winning BBQ to your backyard!
